Shining like the moon she rose as a beacon, unaware

woman with arms spread out towards sea
Shining like the moon she rose as a beacon, unaware
Flutter and sputter, all rocked from cloak to boat,
The veils pulled off the souls in slumber, @here beware.

The moon pulled up the tides that don’t intend to stop
Quietly spilling over order, affairs and moat,
Shining like the moon she rose as a beacon, unaware.

The veils are swept away, blown away from the top
Her silver drew forth theirs with red eyes, fist and throat,
The veils pulled off the souls in slumber, @here beware.

A tsunami rose from the depths, inching higher before the drop
Splash! all dashed as the structures stumbled on a jarring note,
Shining like the moon she rose as a beacon, unaware.

All watch in awe, rushing veins and tresses chop, chop
“No more. No more silence and stand by. ‘tis my vote”,
The veils pulled off the souls in slumber, @here beware.

The rays shine, now on the remains of silver pop,
Awake and stirred, all rise-up to dissent with devote.
Shining like the moon she rose as a beacon, unaware.
The veils pulled off the souls in slumber, @here beware.

– Dedicated to all women.

Epilogue: The poem is dedicated to women standing up for their rights and freedom. Like the moon is English for Mahsa.
